Tzatziki

Voorbereidingstijd 15 minuten
Gang dip, Sauce, Sides, Spread
Keuken greek

IngrediĆ«nten

  • 500 ml Greek Yoghurt
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 small carrot
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 tbsp vinegar white wine
  • 1 tsp chopped dille
  • 2-3 cloves garlic depending how garlicky you want it
  • salt & pepper

Instructies

  • Grate the cucumber with a box grater. Use the biggest holes for a better texture.
  • Put the cucumber in a bowl and add a pinch of salt. Set it aside for a few minutes and let it release its moisture.
  • In the meantime, grate the carrot (same as the cucumber) and mince the garlic and dille.
  • Cucumber: Squeeze out the excess liquid with a cheese cloth or kitchen towel.
  • Combine and mix all the ingredients until a nice creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Drizzle a little bit of olive oil and add a kalamata olive on top!

Notities

  1. Feel free to exclude the grated carrot if you want to make the traditional version. I can only promise you that it's worth it to include it!
