hi everyone!

I am in my late twenties and I am a Dutch-born Asian. From an early age, my parents learned me a lot about different food and cultures. Whether it was through cooking at home or eating out.

My own passion for food began a very long time ago when I started to make simple dishes for myself as my parents needed to work in their restaurant.

love language

Our Asian parents are not good with words and definitely not good in showing love. When I was younger, I always thought that my parents didn’t give me enough love. But the older I get, the more I understand that food is their love. My parents were and still are always the first ones to ask if I have eaten yet. And guess what? Food was always there. Any food at any time and any where.

Food is so so powerful. It’s through food that I feel connected with my family. It brings us together, it’s comforting and with every single meal I learn a little bit more about them and also about myself.

Since I’ve learned that food can be a love language, my whole life started to revolve around it. I really love to cook for people, to eat with them and to share every single story behind the dish with them.

Food is all about creating it in a way that you and your family enjoy. I am not here to just feed your body, but also to feed your heart and soul.
